Katie & Greg had a glorious and almost private Engagement Session under the Cherry Blossoms in Washington DC. It was the perfect setting for their romance to shine while I captured the true beauty of who they are together.
We almost to rethink our Cherry Blossom plans altogether due to the crazy weather changes in the transition from winter to spring. But just like in a good love story… the blossoms endured and only seemed all the more lovely after overcoming freezing temps and a March snow.
I am so looking forward to their December wedding at the Hyatt in Cambridge… It is sure to be a moving and gorgeous affair. Katie is going to walk down the same aisle as her mother, and grandmother did when they promised forever. I can’t wait to see what Katie & White Oak Weddings pull together.

How did you and Greg meet and fall in love? My version – We met on match.com in February 2015. I came across his profile and ‘liked’ his picture (the actual term may be to favorite the profile or wink at him – I can’t remember). He told me later that his membership had just expired but there was something about me he really liked, so he paid for a new membership just to write me back.
Usually, match dates consist of coffee or a drink in case it doesn’t go well (quick exit), but after a few messages back and forth he asked me to go to dinner on a Saturday night. Our first dinner in DuPont Circle lasted for about 4 hours, and we went to the National Portrait Gallery and out for oysters on our second date on a Sunday afternoon. Our third date was at a restaurant in Cleveland Park and that’s where he later told me he realized he was falling for me – under an awning in the rain while waiting for my uber.
From there, we started spending more and more time together and realized very quickly how much we meant to each other…and they lived happily ever after.
