The one thing Sarah wanted when Luke proposed was just to be surprised… She was pretty sure she would know it was coming, after all, she and Luke have loved one another for quite some time now. But he did it. Sarah was caught completely by surprise. Luke won his future brides heart, and her yes with a reading from The Meaning of Marriage by Tim Keller, a personal love letter, and the song “All of Me.”  And of course Sarah and he both were weeping, smiling, hugging, and kissing throughout the emotional and incredibly romantic proposal.

I was surprised that Luke would want to move forward with the proposal on such a rainy and chilly “spring” day, but he was determined, and felt that it was fitting. After all, when he had asked her to be his girlfriend the weather was the same. What a testament to their love for one another. The circumstances will not deter their love, hope, and joy. What they have is a deep and enduring kind of love.

This is just the beginning of their story… I can’t wait to bring you the rest of their journey into their lives as husband and wife.
