Along the shoreline of the bay overlooking Ocean City, a fog of epic proportion fell upon a man and his brand new beloved wife. They cuddled and walked, giggled and whispered. They took a step away from the joyous crowd that had gathered to celebrate their Wedding with them. And that intimate walk together in the fog was worth every moment… Some would even say, it was magical! With the fog wrapping around us and growing denser by the moment, it felt as if we had been transported to the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland. It was thrillingly romantic.
Krystie and Andrew’s day just adds to the many reasons why I love waterfront, Eastern Shore, Weddings. The wild beauty is ever-changing and worthy to be the backdrop of two people promising forever. Krystie and Andrew have their own love affair with the Ocean City area, it’s where they rekindled their love. It is the location where they have chosen to plant their future. Their love for the area is also the reason they wanted to bring all of their friends to the Shore. Their Wedding was actually set to take place at another venue on the bay, but due to some unfortunate circumstances just days before their Wedding, Krystie had to find a new venue. Lighthouse Sound entered the story just a few weeks before everyone was set to gather to witness their vows and celebrate alongside them. Looking back it was as if this was where they were meant to host their Wedding. Everything came together so beautifully, even nature contributed what it could to make their Wedding a tale to remember.
Andrew’s Dad hand carved and painted these swans for his son and his new bride Krystie… He purposefully chose not to create them perfectly… Swans mate for life despite their imperfections. He gave his blessing to Krystie and Andrew and wished them the same for their marriage.
| From the Bride |
Our love story begins when our parents put us in the same nursery school located in Havre de Grace Maryland. Andrew and I were three years old when we first set eyes on each other. And here we are 26 years later planning a lifetime together. Andrew and I dated in high school and after graduation life took us in different directions. On a summer night 5 years later we rekindled our love in Ocean City. We have been happily together now for 5 years, and this past October Andrew popped the question at a Ravens game in Baltimore right after the national anthem. It was the most perfect day of my life and I can’t wait to see where this adventure takes us!
