Courtney and Everett were married in stunning style, he in his black tie and she in her cathedral length veil at Herrington on the Bay. Courtney has a gorgeous smile that lights up Everett’s face but it was all emotion and tears as she made her way down the aisle to him. Courtney’s girls wore pink floral patterned gowns from Show Me Your Mumu that were to-die-for and perfect for the waterfront. The white rose, blue thistle, dusty miller and eucalyptus florals were organically arranged giving the day a joyful feel that perfectly complimented the stone pathways, lush gardens, and marina docks in view.

Congrats, Courtney & Everett… may your journey together be filled with many great adventures, abundant joy, and abiding love.

THEIR LOVE STORY

Courtney & Everett’s lives together have been nothing short of an adventure. Both refuse to admit who talked to who first, but they agree that it was love at first corona. They have been inseparable ever since- instantly recognizing that life is just better together.
Courtney knew she really liked Everett when she agreed to go hiking. As if hiking was not a shocking enough activity for her, she skipped the weekly Sunday champagne brunch with her girlfriends in order to go. She almost made it all the way to the bottom, but shocked and excited with her “almost” success, she tripped while cheering two steps away from the exit. This is one of those cheesy metaphors about falling for him, so of course it ends with him catching her (and only laughing a little at her expense).
During their first summer together, they became self-proclaimed sommelier’s visiting many vineyards, channeled their inner daredevil and went skydiving over the beautiful Virginia landscape (in matching American flag shorts- Everett’s quite possibly shorter than Courtney’s), went on a safari, failed miserably at paddle-boarding in Punta Cana, and through it all, fell madly in love.
Everett’s job took them to Annapolis, MD where their biggest adventure yet began and they realized dreams really do come true when you’re sleeping in a King sized bed. They joined a boat club and Everett quickly became Captain (Courtney became girl who lays out on boats), and most weekends were spent exploring new areas and perfecting their new hobby.

THE PROPOSAL

The ring was burning a hole in Everett’s pocket, and overcome with happiness after an amazing day spent by just the two of them, he knew there would be no better moment. He proposed in their apartment- Courtney so caught off guard she mistook him for tying his shoe and yelled at him to get up and feed the fish. When Everett said “Baby, I am trying to ask you to marry me?”, Courtney can only remember repeatedly saying yes and feeling like she was the luckiest girl in the world.
