//A Wedding on The Shore//

Colin & Abby celebrated their wedding in the historic town of Easton, Maryland. They spoke their vows and ushered in their future together as husband and wife under a canopy of Eastern Shore clouds at “Charlies Place,” a private residence. They exchanged their promises along the wandering banks of the Miles River. And they chose to launch the day with an ultra-romantic first look which allowed them to quickly joined their family and friends in a night filled with dancing to the music of their incredibly talented live band, Sly 45.

//They Danced the Night Away//

Colin and Abby moved to the DC around the same time. Though Colin had not planned on adding a soul mate to his adventurous life, just a few weeks after arriving in DC he met Abby. Through the unplanned invitation of mutual friends, they both arrived at Mad Hatters in Dupont circle, they met and the danced the night away. Their love grew and on one of their hiking adventures to an overlook Colin surprised Abby with a question, to which she said an emphatic “Yes!” Then they spent a bit of time dreaming and reflecting and awaiting a bear to leave so they could make their way back down the trail to share the news.

//Chic & Elegant Affair//

Abby chose to wear a chic satin Louvienne gown which looked incredibly stunning on her. Caitlin, of Clover Event Co, did an amazing job designing and styling a simple ceremony space featuring two gorgeous vases overflowing with lush pink, coral, and duchess peonies… the “pop of color” for the day, as well as the outdoor cocktail space, and tented reception space that was filled with eucalyptus and white rose topped tables, with alternating gold script and numeric table numbers, encircled by beechwood chairs. The effect was absolutely elegant and romantic. Blue Heron Catering not only served a lavish and delicious meal, but they also created the chocolate naked cake and ice cream sandwich bar which were an absolute hit.
