-Refined and Focused

2015 was a year of refining for me… It was my first full year with the focus of Weddings. Being dedicated to Eastern Shore and Annapolis area Wedding Photography has given me the freedom to pour myself into my couples. I discovered that I adore building relationships with my brides, and investing in the marriages they are building with their husbands. I found out the importance of ensuring that each couple whose Wedding I photograph is a great fit before I agree to be with them during such an intimate and important part of their story.

-A New Love 

2015 also stoked in me an appreciation and love for hand written artwork, and floral design. Both of these art forms are a part of my legacy. My mother’s calligraphy lovingly adorned not only letters, but my lunch boxes as I grew up. My grandmother had a way with roses, I have such precious memories of arriving at her home finding her amongst her rose bushes. She would often let me create my own bouquet to display on her table or take home to my mother.

Now that I am a part of the Wedding industry I get to interact with so many glorious floral and hand written pieces of art designed specifically to celebrate and support the love stories of my couples. I honestly just get so excited when I get to be a part of preserving such beauty. Often I try to start my Wedding days by capturing the details such as these. Such delicate, refined, and carefully selected details have such a way of representing the personality of a couple and can  influence the aesthetic of the entire day.

-Hope for 2016

I am continually amazed by the hope and excitement that seems to buzz about when a new year arrives. Without fail 2016 has me all a flutter. This will be a year of grand beauty, I have no doubt. There are so many adventures to be had, stunning couples to cheer on as they get married, and of course mistakes to be learned from. Yes, I said it… mistakes. Mistakes that lead to fresh vision and better ideas. I will embrace every one!
