I had so much fun sharing one of my favorite Eastern Shore spots, Roaring Point, with Jenna and JD as the setting for their romance filled Engagement session.
Roaring Point is always a lovely place to visit, but the post rainstorm cloud cover made for the most beautiful pastel sunset, and reflective coloring upon the tide. The natural beauty of the driftwood formations that dwell upon the beach give the spot a unique texture and movement that I adore. And to top it all off, I found a gorgeous patch of white and blush Queen Anne’s lace nearby to create a bouquet for Jenna. It was magical!
Jenna and JD took full advantage of the setting as they laughed, ran, danced, and whispered their love to each other in front of my lens. This is such a sweet season in their love story. In just a few months they will become husband and wife… but for now they are enjoying each moment they get to spend together as they plan and anticipate what is to come.
{From The Bride to Be}
JD and I met eyes for the very first time in the Fall of 2014. I was grabbing lunch in The Commons at Salisbury University when I spotted an extremely handsome guy across the room. As soon as we locked eyes, it was ‘love at first sight’. Little did I know, I wasn’t the only one feeling this way. I went on my way, hoping I would run into him again sometime soon.
The following week, I saw him again and I made sure to introduce myself. We started talking and we realized we had an instant chemistry. We had the same values, we lived in the same apartment complex, and we even discovered we had the exact same birthday. After learning more about one another, I knew he was going to become someone really important to me.
He quickly became my best friend, my person, and the one who made me the happiest. After a few weeks, he asked me to be his girlfriend with beautiful flowers and a sweet handwritten note. I didn’t think there was any way he could make me any happier, but on June 5th, 2015 he exceeded all of my expectations.
On June 5th we went to Lighthouse Sound, a beautiful restaurant on the water, with my family for dinner. The two of us went outside to take a few pictures in front of the beautiful scenery and as soon as he started speaking, I knew we weren’t just taking pictures. He got down on one knee and asked me the easiest question I have ever been asked.
From that point on, we have been anxiously awaiting our wedding on August 21, 2016. I am so thankful that God brought JD into my life in His perfect timing and I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with the man of my dreams.
