This Coastal Wedding inspiration shoot was birthed out of a chat I had with the sweet Katina of A Sweet Affair Events. She and I both have a love for the beauty of the shore, and we wanted to inspire coastal brides to rethink how they incorporate the beauty of their Wedding setting while also highlighting some of the hidden talents of Shore vendors.
The romantic dreamy affect created by the intertwining of subtle and brilliant hues of Atlantic sunsets in this inspiration shoot reflects the incredible beauty of the stormy season that occurs as fall gives way to winter.  Flourish Floral Artistry another amazing Eastern Shore talent, dialed in this aesthetic by juxtaposing colorful peppers and Japanese lanterns with peach roses, cream ranunculus, and gray-blue toned greenery such as eucalyptus. The storm gray flowing gown and handmade wood bow tie, from Two Guys Bow Ties, were perfectly paired with the natural beauty of the Point at Bayside, which looks out on Fenwick Island. And of  course I have to mention the talents of Susie Saltzman’s  with her rose gold ring design and Wild and Free Calligraphy’s papery which encapsulated the elegance of the setting, Jenny’s stunning hair design, and Eastern Shore Makeup’s perfect makeup styling.
This moody and romantic Wedding styling was achieved by carefully curating elements with naturally elegant movement, and organic pieces that add a colorful surprise. We really hope that brides who desires to create an aesthetic that harnesses the beauty of her Wedding setting will be inspired to dream of the possibilities that surround them.
Side Note: This shoot almost didn’t happen. We had hoped and prayed for a brilliant sunset for this styled shoot, and we got our wish! But that came in the form of remnants of an epic storm. A coastal storm blew up on the planned date, flooding the point where we were to shoot. But the amazing cast of vendors showed their true pro-colors and shifted plans to make this happen. And the results were crazy wonderful. Thank you ladies for pivoting your plans and making this happen. Every bride should have vendors such as this to stand with them through adaptive needs of a wedding day.
We are so honored that this shoot was recently featured on Fab You Bliss… Check it out here!
